Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver effective English language and communication lessons.
• Teach English courses according to the approved university curriculum and academic requirements.
• Develop lesson plans, teaching materials, presentations, assignments, and other learning resources.
• Assess and monitor students' academic progress through assignments, examinations, presentations, and classroom activities.
• Provide constructive feedback and appropriate academic support to students.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, assessments, and student performance.
• Encourage students to improve their English communication, academic writing, presentation, and research skills.
• Use appropriate teaching methodologies and digital learning tools to enhance student engagement.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive, and professional classroom environment.
• Participate in departmental meetings, academic activities, workshops, orientations, and university events.
• Contribute to curriculum development, course reviews, and continuous improvement of teaching quality.
• Support students through academic advising and consultations when required.
• Coordinate with other faculty members and university departments regarding academic matters.
• Ensure that all teaching, assessment, and academic activities comply with university policies and procedures.
• Participate in examination preparation, invigilation, marking, moderation, and other academic duties as assigned.
• Undertake other reasonable academic and administrative responsibilities assigned by the university management.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in English, English Language, Applied Linguistics, Education, or a closely related field.
• A UAE Equivalency Certificate is required, where applicable.
• Previous teaching experience at a university, college, or higher-education institution is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of English language teaching methodologies and academic communication.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and online/digital teaching platforms.
• Strong classroom management, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
