ICan Education – Burlington is seeking an English Teachers to help students in JK - grade 12 continue to develop their English reading and literacy skills. Teachers are required to teach in person for both one-on-one and/or in small group sessions at the ICan Education learning centre located in Burlington, ON with some online classes as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• 2 or more years of experience teaching students.
• Experience working with students with special needs & learning challenges
• Bachelor’s Degree
• Excellent communication and organization skills
• Knowledge of Ontario Curriculum related to English language requirements

• Teacher will support students’ continued acquisition of their English language reading and literacy. Reading comprehension, critical thinking and analysis of literary elements applied in books.
• Teach students in person at ICan Education learning centre in Burlington
• Teach elementary students JK - grade 12
• Assess students’ abilities and help modify lessons according to students’ needs
• Complete periodic reporting, attend meetings, and training as required
• Participate in students review sessions
