About the Position: Exploring Scholaris currently seeking an English Teacher (ELA not ESL) to join our team. The team is based in and operates in Toronto. Ideal candidates will have a full-time ELA or teaching job during the day, or they will be in teacher’s college or in an education related field. Because this is an in person teaching position, teachers must be able to reliably commute to our location.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Teaching experiences in English Literature/ ELA in a North American curriculum are required.
• Confidence teaching ELA demonstrated during the selection process.
• Proficient in online teaching tools.

• Deliver high-quality lessons to small classes of students or through private tutoring.
• Prepare lessons within guidelines.
• Mark homework and assessments.
• Help promote students’ interests in the subject.
• Our classes are in person, with teachers in classes a minimum of 4 hours per week.
