English Teacher Pilsen Wellness Center Chicago, IL Full-Time Site 2001 S California FL 2 Chicago, IL 60608 Schedule Monday - Friday 7:45 AM - 3:15 PM Job Summary Pilsen Wellness Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate teacher to provide meaningful and engaging standards based instruction and assessment in the content area of English. Curriculum to be taught within the context of the philosophy and mission of the high school. Responsibilities * Engages students within high school level scholarly work * Attends and participates in all professional development training * Maintain, develop, and update curriculum maps, syllabi, and course descriptions * Participates in the coordination and planning of high school sponsored events * Communicates regularly with a student’s parents and families Qualifications * Bachelor’s Degree required * Valid Illinois Professional License in subject area * Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred * Teaching Experience Compensation & Benefits * Salary: $53,000 - $63,000 annually * 403(b) retirement plan * Health, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance * Paid Time Off (PTO) * Ongoing professional development About Us Pilsen Wellness Center is a community-based organization providing culturally responsive behavioral health and social services.
