The Role


Depending on the assignment, you could be:


Teaching English Language and Literature across KS3 and KS4


Delivering pre-planned lessons for day-to-day supply


Planning, teaching and marking for longer-term placements


Supporting pupils preparing for GCSE examinations


Creating an engaging and positive classroom environment


For day-to-day supply, planning and marking will normally be provided by the school.


Who We're Looking For


You'll ideally have:


Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an appropriate UK-recognised teaching qualification


Experience teaching English within a UK secondary school


Strong subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4


Confident classroom and behaviour management skills


A positive, reliable and professional approach


A passion for English and helping pupils achieve their potential
