About the Role
The school is seeking a qualified Secondary English Teacher to join their team on a full-time, ongoing basis, commencing ASAP in Term 3, 2026.
Responsibilities include:
- Teaching English across Years 7–10
- Planning and delivering high-quality, engaging, and differentiated English lessons
- Developing students' literacy, comprehension, writing, and critical thinking skills
- Supporting students across a range of abilities and learning needs
- Creating a positive, inclusive, and academically focused classroom environment
- Assessing and monitoring student progress in line with curriculum requirements
- Contributing to faculty planning, moderation, and curriculum development
- Participating in school activities and the broader college community
This role would suit an educator with a strong passion for English and a commitment to developing students' literacy, confidence, and academic achievement.

Requirements
- Secondary teaching qualification (B.Ed, M.Teach, PGCE or equivalent)
- VIT registration or eligibility to obtain
- Experience teaching English across Years 7–10
- Strong understanding of the Victorian Curriculum
- Ability to engage and inspire students across a range of abilities
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Commitment to academic excellence and student wellbeing
- Two professional child-related referees
