QUALIFICATIONS:

A current Live Register Certificate with the NMBI (An Bord Altranais), RNID qualification is highly desirable.
A full clean manual Driving Licence, which qualifies you to drive manual transmission vehicles on Irish Roads and use of your own car is an essential requirement.

EXPERIENCE:

Candidates must have a level of experience sufficient to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the post together with an appreciation of the needs of persons with an intellectual disability. Experience of working with people with challenging behaviour is an
advantage.

Responsibilities

To provide clinical nursing skills in supporting people with intellectual disabilities in achieving optimum level of independence. To exhibit and maintain the highest quality of nursing practice and apply their skills to ensure the physical, social, emotional needs of the people supported by the services in their care are addressed at all times. Be responsible for the provision of nursing care and be an informed resource for educating support workers and family members, which shall benefit people supported by the services.
