JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential care and support to individuals who have been in a motor vehicle accident in various settings, including nursing homes, home care environments, and hospice care. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, particularly those with disabilities or cognitve challenges. The Support Worker will assist with daily living activities, meal preparation and ensure a safe and supportive environment for all clients. Bonus pay for night shifts offered.*

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience with acquired brain injury settings or dual diagnosis is preferred.
  • Must have PSW certificate
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting/transfers as required by client needs.
  • Compassionate nature with a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
  • Certification in CPR/First Aid
  • Must have own vehicle and the ability to travel and work in client’s home.

Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care assistance to clients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming as needed.
  • Assist clients with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary.
  • Support individuals with physical challenges or cognitive impairments through engaging activities and companionship.
  • Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in health status to the treatment team.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Ensure a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks as needed.
  • Foster a positive relationship with clients and their families to promote trust and comfort.
