Deadline to apply: February 20, 2026 by 4pm Commissionaires BC is seeking dedicated and professional CBSA Security Guards - Enhanced Transport to join our team at a Surrey location. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and transporting individuals who have arrived via the airport but are not authorized to enter the country, ensuring the safety and security of all involved. For this role, successful applicants must be comfortable transporting individuals from Surrey to Alberta. For clearance requirements, all successful applicants must hold Canadian citizenship or permanent residency. Schedule: Full time - Week 1: 4 Days or Nights, Week 2: 2-3 Days or Nights Pay rate: $29.65/hr Guard Job responsibilities: Ensure the safety and security of individuals in custody, including monitoring high-risk individuals at various locations. Oversee and manage designated areas, controlling access and maintaining security protocols. Conduct routine and random searches of premises, reporting any irregularities and ensuring compliance with safety procedures. Manage intake procedures, document personal belongings, and ensure proper handling of items as per safety guidelines. Communicate effectively using radio equipment and follow standard communication protocols. Administer basic first aid, CPR, and other emergency responses as needed, documenting incidents appropriately. Implement use-of-force protocols and assist in restraining or controlling individuals when required, ensuring safety at all times. Maintain accurate records and reports on security activities and incidents, ensuring compliance with established policies. Conduct well-being checks and monitor individuals for safety concerns, including self-harm prevention and other related activities. Report and handle any prohibited items or contraband discovered during searches, ensuring proper storage and documentation. Additional Transport Responsibilities: Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of fleet vehicles, ensuring mechanical condition, security, and equipment compliance per policies and procedures. Perform searches on high-risk individuals and their luggage, logging valuables and ensuring proper handling during transport. Ensure the safe custody and secure transport of high-risk individuals, complying with vehicle safety codes and escort protocols. Complete vehicle cleaning and sanitization post-trip, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene of fleet vehicles. Escort high-risk individuals to and from various locations, including courts, airports, and other facilities, ensuring security at all times. Submit timely incident reports for any vehicle accidents or damage during detainee transport, as required by policies and procedures. Ensure proper transfer of personal property (money, valuables, medication) to high-risk individuals, completing necessary transaction documentation.
