Description

The Admissions team at the University of St Andrews provides professional marketing, outreach and access, and student recruitment and admissions services to identify and attract the most academically talented students from across Scotland, the rest of the UK, Europe and wider overseas.
This role sits within the Systems, Administration and Operations portfolio, underpinning the admissions process from the point of first contact throughout the enquirer, applicant, offer holder to entrant journey, and works across all areas of Admissions business including marketing, recruitment, enquiries and events and visitor/applicant experience.
This exciting role has a focus on coordinating enquiry management, providing enquirers with the knowledge and signposting to make an informed decision or take the next step of their journey to come to St Andrews e.g. book an event, make an application, accept an offer. They have oversight and coordination of multiple enquiry channels including email, webform, live-chat, telephone, in person.
The roles looks for a competent system and data user with the ability to develop and enhance our Admissions systems, modernising our administrative processes and maximising the potential of our systems in supporting both the University and student recruitment business objectives. The postholder will be responsible for using systems and automation to work more efficiently, driving improvements and introducing new streamlined processes across different areas of Admissions function. They will ensure colleagues have real time visibility of data and insight to enable monitoring/reporting, facilitating portfolio priorities to be achieved. Attention to detail in the accuracy and quality of the work produced is vital.
Key to this position is an enthusiasm to innovate, explore customer-focused, systems-based solutions to create efficiencies, and a can-do approach to problem solving and an openness to new ideas on ways of undertaking tasks. Experience of working in an administrative environment with a high level of organization skills with the ability to work under pressure. Experience using CRM systems and/or events would be desirable but not essential.
