SUMMARY

St. Margaret’s School (SMS) is Western Canada’s only girl-centered, independent day and boarding school located in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada on the unceded traditional territories of the Esquimalt Nations, Songhees Nations, and W̱SÁNEĆ Nations. Founded in 1908, SMS is an international centre for girl-centered learning and leadership development, providing empowering education for girls from Junior Kindergarten to Grade 12 (boarding grades 7–12). St. Margaret’s School is an International Baccalaureate (IB) School offering the Diploma Programme, and we are a candidate school for the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP).
The Enrichment Coordinator is a member of the Student Services and FYs, MYs, and SYs Teaching Teams (JK to Grade 12) and aims to facilitate whole school commitment to inclusion and support of students with identified and diagnosed needs.
The Enrichment Coordinator promotes an inclusive learning environment via the coordination, oversight, and monitoring of students with identified and diagnosed needs.
The Enrichment Coordinator works in cooperation with the Deputy Heads, Vice Principals, Counsellors, Teachers, Education Assistants, Services Providers, Instructional Leadership Team, Admissions, Residence, and Parents to serve the best interests of students.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor of Education or relevant Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized post-secondary institution
  • Master’s degree in Special Education, Inclusive Education, or a related field (preferred or in progress)
  • BC Teacher Certification (or eligibility for certification through the BC Ministry of Education – Teacher Regulation Branch)
  • Additional qualifications in areas such as:
  • Learning Support
  • Educational Psychology
  • Behavioural Intervention
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder
  • Executive Functioning and/or Neurodiversity (asset)
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a related field.
