Join our enrichment team and take the opportunity to work with youth through a social emotional learning lens. We are hiring staff for a variety of days at various schools in Brockton.
Requirements:

• Attend Staff meetings and trainings as scheduled by the Director of Youth Development
• Lead the enrichment activities for youth in one school each day according to the quality requirements of the Old Colony Y and the prescribed curriculum that is planned each week
• Collaborate with school staff to ensure enrichment activities incorporate social emotional learning and are delivered with a trauma-informed lens
• Set up for and clean up after all enrichment activities
• Ensure children are never left alone in the classroom and there is always a YMCA or BPS staff member in the room
• Know at all times how many youth are in your group
• Identify and meet the individual needs of students (inclusion, accommodations)
• Ability to maintain daily attendance and scheduling flexibility.
• Ability to be flexible and adaptable to the constantly changing school schedule
• Maintain positive energy with staff, youth and families throughout entire program
• Address any concerns or conflicts with the Director of Youth Development.
• Maintain professional boundaries with youth
• Carry out the enrichment schedule provided by following time frames, location of activity, and activity descriptions carefully
