Your role We are now seeking enthusiastic and motivated Enrolled and Registered Nurses with extensive Theatre Scrub Scout experience. As a member of our friendly and approachable Perioperative team, you will be responsible for the provision of a high standard of patient care in a safe and effective manner. You will experience different aspects of the entire patient surgical journey which is both exciting and extremely rewarding within a fast-paced environment. As an Enrolled Nurse, you will be responsible for the provision of a high standard of patient care in a safe and cost-effective manner under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. At St John of God Murdoch, we have 18 main operating theatres, angio suite, endoscopy unit and Surgicentre. You will be exposed to the latest in surgical technology, including robotics, and work with some of the highest calibre surgeons in Australia who are usually based onsite in our consulting suites. Our Clinical Command Centre is the hub that oils the theatre machine, with information feeding into and out of a central location to co-ordinate patient flow, equipment and available beds in recovery and on the wards. Our super-organised CCC Team know exactly where patients are up to on their theatre journey at all times. The Enrolled Nurse Position Function within legal and registration constraints in relation to enrolled nursing practice. Maintain and develops clinical skills in order to deliver patient care appropriate to level of competence. Deliver a high standard of patient care utilizing appropriate resources cost effectively. Adhere to and supports hospital policies, procedures and standards. Act as the patient’s advocate and protects the rights of individuals. Provide patient education and participates in discharge planning, where applicable or as required. Participate in quality improvement activities. Demonstrate a courteous manner to internal and external customers. The Registered Nurse Position Assesses plans, delivers and evaluates patient care, seeking support from senior staff as required. Promotes and contributes to effective communication, facilitating teamwork and cooperation within the department and within the hospital. Provides patient education and acts as a resource where appropriate. Supports and supervises staff and students as required, including orientating and preceptoring staff. Contributes to the achievement of Hospital and Clinical Services operational objectives. You will hold registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as an Enrolled Nurse or Registered Nurse. You will have demonstrated commitment to quality patient care and satisfaction, along with well developed interpersonal and relationship building skills. To succeed you will have an ability to work effectively and harmoniously within the multi-disciplinary health care team, with a commitment to ongoing education and professional development. We can offer you Enrolled Nurse Salary: $72,637 to $94,928 per annum, pro rata for part-time, plus 12% superannuation $45.80 - $59.85 per hour inclusive of casual loading plus 12% superannuation.
