  • Knowledge of contemporary nursing practice.
  • Demonstrated understanding of resident centred and residential based care services delivery.
  • Knowledge and experience in Aged Care legislation – desirable however, not essential.
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary and multi-cultural care team.
  • Experienced in effective interpersonal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

ARRCS are currently sourcing an experienced and qualified Enrolled Nurse to support the clinical care of our residents and home care consumers within our Aged Care Facility Tjilpiku Pampaku Ngura located in South Australia’s APY Lands within the community of Pukatja and to support clinical care needs of our home care consumers within the surrounding communities of Pipalyatjara, Mimili, Kaltjiti, Iwantja and Amata.
This role is being offered on a permanent, full-time basis working 38 hours per week and at a salary of $35.79 - $40.55 / hour gross base (annual salary of $70,723 - $80,036 gross base) dependent on previous experience as outlined in our Enterprise Agreement.
As an ARRCS Enrolled Nurse, you will provide clinical care to our residents within our facility. You will work across a rotating fortnightly roster which includes both day and night shifts and provide clinical and team leadership, supervision and support for less experienced clinicians and support workers to achieve people focused quality care in accordance with the ARRCS mission.
This role is ideally suited to someone who enjoys working and supporting aged care in remote locations. You will have a firm yet caring nature and be a hands-on person who is always willing to jump in and support the team when required. You will be able to demonstrate previous experience as a skilled Registered Nurse with preference to geriatric or aged care environment.

THE ROLE WILL REQUIRE YOU TO:

  • Develop, implement, monitor and review care plans to meet a person’s health needs and to promote quality of life.
  • Report changes or concern in a persons’ condition.
  • Provide nursing care within the scope of clinical practice.
  • Ensure resident care is assessed, planned and implemented, and progress is evaluated in accordance with ARRCS model of care and takes into consideration everyone’s physical, social, emotional, spiritual and clinical needs.
  • Assist in research relevant to clinical matters
  • Assist individuals to participate in programs and recreational related activities.
  • Monitor and delegate personal care given by other staff in accordance with scope of practice in the ARRCS Medical Manual.
