Join us as an Enrolled Nurse in our nurse-led clinic at Mount Gambier Prison, reporting to our Health Services Manager and working under the guidance of our Registered Nurses. You’ll work within a supportive team of Nurses, our Medical Administration Officer and our part-time GP. We’re looking for someone with great observational skills and the confidence to do systematic clinical assessments on prisoners under supervison and with support. In the role you will:

• Under supervision from our RNS, undertake clinical assessments on prisoners which could include taking blood, checking blood pressure, temperature checks, dipstick tests, checking bowel sounds, urinalysis, and more.
• Issue medication - Thursday is a particularly busy medication day onsite.
• Provide wound care & assist with work injuries.
• Receive and provide support from our onsite GP.
• Assist with unexpected events, such as reported chest pain.
