Description

As an Enrolled Nurse, you will assist the Registered Nurses to provide holistic nursing care for patients.

Clinical Care

  • Nursing related duties such as setting of drips, taking of blood samples, insertion of cannula, serving medications under the supervision of a licensed medical practitioner; and other duties generally associated with the duties of a nursing profession.
  • General administrative duties including but not limited to filing, update of patient database, mailing, arranging of courier services and inventory check of drugs kept at nursing station, endoscopy room and emergency trolley etc.
  • To liaise, assist and facilitate the coordination across various stakeholders; in the preparation and execution pertaining to any medical and/or surgical procedures.
  • Assist with patient(s) registration, as well as coordination for patient movement within working environment.

  • To monitor patient’s status and condition, about external laboratories reports/examinations results.
  • Assisting the doctor(s) within the working environment in performing daily clinical routines, non-invasive procedures and examinations.
  • Familiarity with the medication available within the working environment.
  • Regular upkeep and maintenance of hygiene, sterility and cleanliness of all the equipment and instruments under your charge, within your working environment.
  • Ensure that nursing station and procedure rooms are neat and clean.
  • Accurate, precise and legible nursing documentation
  • Infection control practice, standard and transmission precaution, isolation care and reverse isolation care, disposal of sharps/waste/linen.
  • Registered as Enrolled Nurse with the Singapore Nursing Board.
  • Trained in BCLS + AED or CPR + AED.
  • Additional responsibilities as directed by RNs or management.
  • Attend to and assist RNs in patient resuscitation or medical emergencies.
  • Identify common causes of patient safety incidents and work with the supervisor and senior nurses in carrying out quality improvement activities.
  • Assist with patient(s) registration, as well as coordination for patient movement within working environment.

  • To monitor patient’s status and condition, regarding external laboratories reports/ examinations results.
  • Assisting the doctor(s) within the working environment in performing daily clinical routines, non-invasive procedures and examinations.
  • Ensure effective communication with patients, and team members to foster trust and confidence in the care provided.
  • Act as a liaison between patients and doctors to ensure that all essential medical communications are clear and accurately converted.
  • Assist in the physical examination and other minor procedures accordingly according to competency levels.
  • Ensure specimens are collected appropriately and dispatched on time.
  • Handle phone calls and enquiries.
  • Schedule patient appointments and registration.
  • Booking of referral appointments.

Training and Development
. Attend upgrading programs to keep abreast with clinical knowledge and to develop work-required skills.
Administration
. Assist the Registered Nurse in inventory checks and control.
Ad-hoc Duties
. Any other tasks assigned by Chief Nurse from time to time.

Requirements

  • Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Degree in Nursing.
  • Willing to learn or with proficiency in Japanese language to communicate (spoken or written) with Japanese patients who have little command of English.
  • At least 5 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Valid practising certificate issued by the Singapore Nursing Board.
  • Valid BCLS+AED certification.
  • Preferably specialized in Healthcare - Nurse/Medical Support & Assistant or equivalent.
  • Strong leadership and coordination skills to manage scheduling and interdisciplinary collaboration.
  • Provision of basic nursing duties (e.g. phlebotomy, vaccination and wound dressing.
  • Assist doctor in minor procedures.
