Description The Enrollment and Insurance Coordinator is a self-motivated, energetic, and reliable individual who will handle multiple projects at once, has the initiative to handle routine responsibilities, and works as a member of the back-office team. Primary Responsibilities: · Answering phone calls, creating appointments, directing the calls as required and handling all queries · Supporting and maintaining the EMR filing system for all patient documents and reports submitted · Collaborates with CareLink stakeholders to establish schedules and plans that allocate available resources to best serve client or customer needs. · Answering emails and other electronic messages as required · Assist with processing patient billing · Perform file system and database management · Handle faxes and mail · Prepare reports, invoices and memos · Helps patients by providing information, services, and assistance. · Maintains medical supplies inventory and performs preventive maintenance to keep medical equipment operating. · Verifies patient information by interviewing patients, recording medical history, and confirming purpose of visit. · Secures patient information and maintains patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records; completing diagnostic coding and procedure coding; and keeping patient information confidential. · Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations. · Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders, and verifying receipt. · Supports and assists Providers by preparing equipment, traveling, and assisting in patient care as needed · Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications. · Serves and protects the practice by adhering to professional standards, facility policies and procedures; and federal, state, and local requirements. · Enhances practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. · Performs other related duties, as required. Requirements Required Skills/Abilities: · Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. · Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. · Thorough understanding of medical insurance. · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. · Extremely proficient with technology, seen as expert and ability to train others · HIPAA rules and regulations pertaining to patient confidentiality and dissemination of information will be followed. Qualifications – Required · 1+ year of professional experience in a medical office · Experience with EMR (electronic medical records), medical terminology, and coding is preferred · Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), CNA, or Dental Assistant preferred
