SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Enterprise Application Engineer, under the direction of the Manager of IT Applications and Desktop Engineering, will help support and maintain commercial off-the-shelf applications that execute the technology strategy, business vision and technology roadmap for the firm. This role will provide expertise and technical ownership of several key vendor supplied applications. This individual will work within the firm-wide Applications team by actively participating in projects that implement vendor supported software and supporting existing application infrastructure. In addition, they must have exceptional troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills to be able to resolve escalated issues in a timely manner.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 6+ years of experience supporting and maintaining applications in an enterprise role.
  • Good working experience supporting and maintaining applications from Litera, Intapp and other Legal vendors.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, DNS and User account maintenance.
  • Expert knowledge of maintaining and working with document managing systems. NetDocuments, preferred.
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office products on-prem and cloud based.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL, IIS, Scripting (VBScript, PowerShell), Web Services (SOAP/REST) and data manipulation and system integration.
  • Experience working in the Legal vertical highly desirable, but not required.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow ticketing system.
  • Related industry certifications preferred, but not required.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
  • Strong service-oriented skills including excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Available for 24/7 support when critical issues arise.
  • Highly Organized self-starter, highly motivated, positive demeanor and able to successfully multi-task.
    The primary location for this job posting is in Palo Alto. The actual base pay offered will depend upon a variety of factors, including but not limited to the selected candidate’s qualifications, years of relevant experience, level of education, professional certifications and licenses, and work location. The anticipated pay range for this position is as follows: $131,750 – $178,250 per year.
    The compensation for this position may include a discretionary year-end merit bonus based on performance. We offer a highly competitive salary and benefits package.

Responsibilities
  • Lead efforts in designing, implementing, configuring, documenting, and maintaining vendor-based multi-user applications.
  • Ensure successful testing, implementation and transition to a production ready operating environment and cross train resources as necessary.
  • Manage 3rd party consultants and/or vendors, ensuring proper knowledge transfer, documentation, and project efforts are completed in the appropriate manner.
  • Be able to triage technical issues and work with vendors and other engineers to resolve open issues.
  • Review existing processes/procedures/technologies and provide suggestions to streamline and optimize the environment.
  • Leading project teams to research, evaluate, design, implement and support the firm’s enterprise applications, acting as a “Subject Matter Expert” regarding these solutions.
  • Collaborate & communicate across IT teams to identify issues and provide/explain solutions.
  • Tier 2/3 for internal support escalations where it relates to off-the-shelf enterprise applications.
