Description

The Enterprise Architect is a strategic role responsible for defining and maintaining the organization’s enterprise architecture. This individual will collaborate with stakeholders across the business and IT to ensure that technology investments support and drive business objectives. The Enterprise Architect will develop and communicate architectural blueprints, standards, and roadmaps, and provide guidance on technology strategy and implementation.
Must be able to obtain and maintain the required customer clearance for access to systems, facilities, equipment and property.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an Enterprise Architect or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).
  • Experience with cloud computing, microservices, and other modern technologies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Strong understanding of IT governance and security principles.
  • Experience with business process modeling.
  • Experience in the specific industry that the company operates within is a plus.
  • Enterprise Architecture Frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman, etc.)

  • Strategic Planning:
  • Develop and maintain the enterprise architecture framework, including business, information, application, and technology architectures.
  • Align IT strategy with business goals and objectives.
  • Identify and evaluate emerging technologies and their potential impact on the organization.
  • Create and maintain architectural roadmaps and transition plans.
  • Architecture Design and Governance:
  • Define architectural standards, policies, and guidelines.
  • Conduct architecture reviews and assessments to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Develop and maintain architectural artifacts, including diagrams, models, and documentation.
  • Lead the development of solution architectures for complex projects.
  • Ensure that security, scalability, and performance considerations are integrated into architectural designs.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with business leaders, IT managers, and development teams to understand requirements and provide architectural guidance.
  • Communicate architectural concepts and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather requirements and develop architectural solutions.
  • Work with project managers to insure project alignment with the enterprise architecture.
  • Technology Evaluation and Selection:
  • Evaluate and recommend technology solutions based on business requirements and architectural standards.
  • Conduct proof-of-concepts and pilot projects to validate technology solutions.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in enterprise architecture.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain an architecture repository.
  • Produce reports on the state of the enterprise architecture.
  • Document all architecture decisions.
