Clarity Partners is seeking an Enterprise Architect local to Chicago, IL. In this role, you will partner with healthcare leaders and technical subject matter experts to evaluate initiatives, establish enterprise architecture standards, and define technology strategies that advance business outcomes. You will guide solutions from current-state to target-state architectures, ensuring interoperability, security, and compliance across application, data, infrastructure, integration, and security domains. You will also act as an internal architecture consultant—creating roadmaps/blueprints, mentoring teams, and strengthening governance to support modernization. This position will report in a hybrid setting. Responsibilities Evaluate projects to ensure alignment with enterprise/HIS standards; identify technology requirements and define high-level architecture. Develop and maintain architecture frameworks across application, data, infrastructure, integration, and security domains. Monitor IT initiatives and solutions for compliance with architectural standards; provide guidance and course-corrections as needed. Integrate risk management, compliance, and cybersecurity governance into architecture and decision-making. Create architecture diagrams, blueprints, and roadmaps to communicate designs and guide implementation. Establish and support architecture governance, standardization, and lifecycle management to enable scalable, modern IT services. Position enterprise architecture as an internal consultancy and communicate the value of EA services to stakeholders. Mentor and coach technical teams and leaders to encourage architectural thinking and adoption of standards. Assess emerging technologies and industry trends to inform technology strategy and organizational priorities. Collaborate with IT and business leaders to ensure secure, interoperable solutions aligned to organizational objectives. Requirements Requirements Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. 10+ years of experience supporting or developing enterprise technology solutions. Experience applying enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) and cloud architecture frameworks (e.g., Azure Cloud Adoption Framework) to produce standards, patterns, roadmaps, and blueprints. Strong technical breadth across cloud, infrastructure/network design, automation, APIs/middleware, servers/storage, databases, and virtualization. Knowledge of SDLC and delivery methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, DevOps); proficiency with common scripting/programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python, PowerShell) preferred. Understanding of IT/cybersecurity governance and privacy/security standards (e.g., NIST, HIPAA, HITRUST) and ability to guide leaders in implementation. Familiarity with healthcare interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7, X12) preferred. Preferred: experience delivering enterprise solutions in a large healthcare system, public cloud platform services, and technology project management. The range represents a good faith estimate that Clarity reasonably expects to pay for this job at the time of posting. Compensation will depend upon an individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
