QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of infrastructure, systems, or cloud architecture experience, including enterprise design leadership.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Azure IaaS, PaaS, and governance (Management Groups, Blueprints, Policies).
  • Expertise with hyperconverged platforms including Cisco HyperFlex, Dell VxRail, and optionally Nutanix.
  • Deep understanding of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP, and hybrid identity.
  • Proficient in Azure AD Connect, Conditional Access, MFA, and zero-trust architecture principles.
  • Familiar with virtualization (VMware vSphere/ESXi, Microsoft Hyper-V) and SDN concepts.
  • Experience with automation and scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Azure CLI, Bicep, Terraform optional).
  • Strong background in cloud security tooling including Azure Sentinel, Defender for Cloud, Security Center.
  • Certifications: AZ-305, AZ-500, Cisco DC, VMware VCP, or TOGAF (preferred).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence senior leadership and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
  • Design and implement enterprise-scale cloud and HCI architectures, blending on-prem infrastructure (e.g., HyperFlex, VxRail) with Microsoft Azure hybrid workloads.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to infrastructure, application, and security teams, aligning technology choices to business goals.
  • Define and maintain architectural blueprints, standards, and governance for hybrid cloud and on-prem environments. - Architect Active Directory and Azure AD for secure identity and access management, including SSO, MFA, and RBAC models.
  • Lead migration and modernization efforts, transitioning legacy workloads to Azure IaaS/PaaS and HCI platforms.
  • Evaluate and deploy Cisco HyperFlex, Dell VxRail, and other HCI platforms for compute, storage, and virtualization efficiency.
  • Implement disaster recovery, business continuity, and backup strategies leveraging Azure Site Recovery, Veeam, and other tools.
  • Collaborate with security teams to harden infrastructure and enforce compliance across cloud and on-prem environments.
  • Perform architecture reviews, threat modeling, and risk assessments aligned with NIST, ISO 27001, or HIPAA standards.
  • Lead cross-team design sessions, proof-of-concepts (PoCs), and roadmap development for enterprise IT initiatives. - - Mentor junior architects and engineers, helping build a culture of architectural excellence and continuous improvement.
