We are seeking a visionary Enterprise Architect to join our team in Melbourne, Vic. This is a business and people leadership role where you will be instrumental in defining the long-term technology landscape for our Retail business. You will work closely with executive stakeholders to lead the design of robust system solutions that not only deliver sustainable value but also ensure an exceptional experience for our customers. Key Responsibilities Strategy & Leadership: Articulate and maintain a forward-looking Retail architecture strategy that supports long-term growth, performance goals, and customer experience enhancement. Architectural Governance: Own and drive the use of architecture techniques, models, and tools to deliver measurable business benefit, ensuring solutions align with enterprise standards and business strategy. Stakeholder Partnership: Optimize information management approaches, partnering with business stakeholders to align technology capabilities with evolving needs and providing expert technical guidance. Risk & Compliance: Manage risks associated with information and IT assets by establishing appropriate standards and security policies. Delivery & Innovation: Develop comprehensive architecture roadmaps, contribute designs from inception through to implementation, and initiate pilots/proofs of concept to explore technical options. People Leadership: Lead, motivate, and develop a team of technical experts, fostering a culture of shared responsibility for architectural governance and actively supporting the engagement and retention of high performers. What You’ll Bring to the Role A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in an Enterprise Architecture role. A sound understanding and practical application of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman). Deep expertise in modern IT enterprise architectures, including cloud computing (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), hybrid models, and integration. Proven knowledge of the Electricity and Gas Retail business, IT governance, and operations. Excellent systems thinking ability (seeing the big picture), strong project and program management planning skills, and knowledge of financial modeling as it pertains to IT investment. Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to lead and motivate a team and influence stakeholders at all levels.
