EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / BACKGROUND:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud architecture and design, with a strong focus on AWS.
  • Proven experience designing and implementing cloud architectures on AWS.
  • Extensive knowledge of AWS services, including compute, storage, networking, security, and management tools.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools, such as AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
  • Familiarity with DevOps principles and practices.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of solution architecture and integration architecture best practices
  • Knowledge of and familiarity with building technical product use cases to enhance customer experience, improve operational efficiency, and enhance security

Responsibilities

POSITION PURPOSE:

The Enterprise Architect (EA) will be involved in the transformation of the overall information system in line with Veolia’s strategy. The EA will maintain overall responsibility for architecting technology planning and deployment, providing a technology vision aligned with VNA vision, enabling innovation, and driving Information Technology to deliver business value. The EA will map the processes and needs and defines a roadmap that he/she is able to implement and follow. The EA is responsible for improving and upgrading enterprise services, software and hardware, and needs to stay on top of the latest trends and technologies.

PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Technology Strategy
  • Definition and implementation of core technology architecture to support the enterprise strategic vision, including the development of a medium/long-term strategic technology roadmap
  • Definition and development of integration architecture standards and ensure consistency and alignment with Group integration architecture and C4E standards
  • Drive technology transformation to the internal business customers, and advance seamless integrated digital experiences for both internal and external customers
  • Develop and deliver enterprise wide automation strategy, including but not limited to expanding RPA footprint
  • Implement plan to utilize ESS DB&T solutions both to support internal needs for better operational and market insights and create opportunities for performance enhancement
  • Study current and new industry trends, technologies, and software developmentAlign with Group technology strategy as it is applicable to ESS scope
  • Work with peers across ESS DB&T, VNA, ESS T&P, and globally to share best practices to Copy and Adapt
  • Solution Integration & Solution Architecture
  • Own the Solution Architecture Review and ensure adherence to guidelines set around initial and detailed architecture designs
  • Integrate into the standardized project management journey process by providing architecture approval stamps for digital projects to progress through checkpoint Gates and on to design and execution phases
  • Support the qualification process for new demands by providing business and business partner representatives with architecture or integration inputs as relevant for ESS DB&T solutions
  • Manage and be responsible for the relationship and alignment with VNA Architecture
  • Align with the Chief Information Security Officer to understand policy and guidelines to follow when selecting technology
  • Create conditions to adopt standards for systems, software, data governance, and development environments for ESS contextImplement integration processes consistent with corporate policies and C4E guidelines including around design and code reviews, testing process, and overall quality assurance
  • Monitor usability and experience for users of the chosen technology following integration
  • Implement analytics to measure and ensure adoption, taking corrective action when required
  • Provide oversight for the API lifecycle, determination and publishing of performance baselines, and interaction with consumers to ensure integration results meet the initial requirements
