Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) assists senior management in identifying and assessing key risks (e.g., operational, financial reporting, etc.) and related controls. The challenge is identifying the correct qualitative and quantitative measures and using them to help mitigate risks that are beyond the appetite of the Company’s stakeholders. Working in ERM is a unique opportunity and establishes a great foundation for a banking career, as risk management analysts are exposed to the broad scope of the Bancorporation, its divisions, and its operations. Responsibilities The Enterprise Data Analyst responsibilities include: Develop requested risk reporting Maintain existing risk reporting Perform validations on calculations and processes developed by others Quickly understand a large amount of risk-related data and be able to summarize information into executive summaries and recommendations Communicate professionally and in a timely manner with key stakeholders Explore and understand new data sources and find ways for data sources to be effectively used throughout the organization Set up automation on new and existing requests Assist in process improvement activities Assist in training more junior analysts on the team Develop and maintain statistical models as needs arise Recommend, help develop, and implement other risk management initiatives Work closely with IT, audit, compliance, and business units to support enterprise-wide risk initiatives and data projects Work in a dynamic environment where risk management analysts frequently evaluate different bank processes (on both micro and macro levels) and work with management (including executive management) throughout the entire Bancorporation and affiliates. Qualifications Candidates should have a high aptitude for critical thinking and analyzing processes and their associated risks and controls. Required: 4+ years of analytics, reporting, risk management, or other directly related experience.
