The Enterprise Finance group reviews and ensures that financial commitments by Chevron are appropriately identified, structured, valued and reported in accordance with corporate policies. This position has responsibility for supporting Upstream, Midstream and Downstream in Asia Pacific in the following key areas: 1) developing internal/external funding solutions 2) providing decision support and guidance on managing financial risk/exposure on major projects, asset transactions and other special projects 3) governance, including facilitation of treasury concurrences under policy 190C and 4) coordinating analytical support across all Treasury areas and act as a liaison between Treasury and business clients.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
- Formulating financing strategy proposals including composition of debt portfolio, liquidity management, credit considerations, capital structure for subsidiaries and affiliates
- Coordinating with tax group and evaluates tax-advantaged and cross border financing and implements necessary funding arrangements e.g. intercompany loan, capital contribution, dividends
- Participating in negotiations on more complex financing agreements and bank products
- Participating in complex studies. Has significant financial analysis expertise and provides expert counsel on matters pertaining to more than one area of specialization.
- Evaluating proposals for leasing and other forms of “alternate” or “off balance sheet” financing
- Coordinating with banking operations and other Treasury personnel as required to ascertain funding needs. Coordinate internal finance committee process as required
- Advising on managing financial exposure on major capital projects, acquisitions/divestitures, decommissioning, project structuring, contract development
- Providing Treasury-related guidance and advice to Opcos on negotiations of complex agreements, vendor security, assurances of performance, leasing, FX and economic modeling
- Ensuring appropriate Treasury policies and Delegation of Authorities are being complied with. Be fluent in the application of policy 190C. Assist with obtaining treasury concurrence when needed
- Developing and maintains internal business relationships with operating companies and external business relationships with financial institutions to monitor financial markets and trends
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Commerce. MBA Preferred
- With at least 10 years’ work experience, of which at least 5 years are with Chevron
- Previous work experience in financial analysis, project economic analysis, commercial transactions / contracts, complex commercial arrangements, or work with external parties, e.g., banks or partners. A mix of these is preferred
- Strong oral and written communication skills required
- Strong influencing skills desired
- Upstream and downstream business knowledge desired
- Ability to engage senior managers/leaders preferred
- Moderate travel in the Asia Pacific region required
Relocation Options:
Relocation will not be considered within Chevron parameters.
International Considerations:
Selected candidate will work in Singapore under the local payroll system and benefits.
