Description
Description About Us ArcherGrey is a digital transformation firm specializing in Product Lifecycle Management (PLM). Since 2002, we’ve built a strong reputation for delivering successful PLM implementations through strategic consulting and technology services. With a customer-first mindset, we optimize both the people and process sides of PLM adoption to help organizations maximize the value of their technology investments. About the Role We are seeking an Enterprise PLM Functional Lead to oversee the end-to-end delivery of PLM initiatives, while guiding clients through business process optimization and solution design. This is a hybrid leadership role, with project delivery as the leading focus and functional expertise as the foundation for execution. You will lead enterprise PLM programs in discrete manufacturing, including implementations, upgrades, integrations, data migrations, and process improvements while ensuring measurable outcomes and alignment across business and technical stakeholders. You will also collaborate closely with client teams to define PLM requirements, configure solutions, and support adoption strategies. This is a client-facing consulting role requiring strong project delivery capabilities, solution enablement skills, stakeholder management, and the ability to drive PLM adoption across complex environments. Key Responsibilities Enterprise Project Delivery (Primary Focus) Manage enterprise-level PLM projects end-to-end, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery. Define scope, requirements, objectives, assumptions, and delivery roadmaps. Develop and manage detailed project plans and schedules. Lead risk identification, issue tracking, mitigation strategies, and change control. Provide accurate project reporting for clients and internal governance. Build, mentor, and guide cross-functional delivery teams. Ensure alignment on goals, outcomes, and deliverables. Support pre-sales efforts (estimates, demos, proposals, RFP responses). Functional Leadership & Solution Enablement Engage with business stakeholders to analyze and document engineering/manufacturing-focused PLM requirements. Conduct fit-gap analyses and recommend process improvements aligned with PLM best practices. Translate business needs into functional requirements for architects and development teams. Configure PLM functionality (without custom coding) to support workflows, roles, data structures, and lifecycle processes. Support data migration strategy, validation, and data model optimization. Lead training, workshops, and change management efforts to support adoption. Collaborate with PMs, architects, and technical teams to ensure high-quality execution. Requirements About the Candidate You are a delivery-focused leader who thrives at the intersection of strategy, technology, and execution. You can drive project success while also shaping PLM solutions with actionable business value. You are equally confident leading teams, facilitating workshops, and engaging stakeholders across business and engineering functions. Required Qualifications 10+ years of PLM project leadership, delivery management, or functional consulting. Experience managing PLM programs such as implementations, upgrades, integrations, or migrations. Hands-on experience with PTC Windchill or other leading PLM platforms. Consulting experience required. Strong understanding of engineering and/or manufacturing processes required. Experience in PLM configuration and solution design. Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and facilitation skills. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Information Systems, or related field. Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced consulting environment. U.S. citizenship required. Ability to travel 20–30% as needed. Desired (Not Required): PMP Certification Proficiency with Microsoft Project Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar delivery tools
Responsibilities
The primary focus is managing enterprise-level PLM projects end-to-end, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery while leading risk management and team guidance. The role also involves functional leadership by engaging stakeholders to define requirements, recommending process improvements, and configuring PLM solutions.
