Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

The enterprise Portfolio Management Office (ePMO) has been established to lead portfolio management, manage the college-wide project management framework, lead project management capability development, improve project and portfolio governance & management maturity and provide portfolio level executive reporting on the progress of the College portfolio.
The primary function of the role is to manage all activities related to the college-wide project management framework (PMF) to uplift project, program and portfolio management across the College. This includes continuous improvement, advice and guidance, monitoring and quality control and compliance activities, as well as advocacy and education for sponsors, stakeholders and project teams.
This role is a fixed-term opportunity until 28 November 2025, with the potential to extend.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the ongoing management and continuous improvement of the college-wide project management framework which includes a project management methodology, tools, templates, guides, and business processes.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of the training modules for the project management framework and deliver the training including as part of onboarding new project/program managers and staff
  • Ensure the project management framework remains integrated with other relevant college frameworks and policies to ensure cohesion with other business functions (e.g., risk management, procurement, and financial management).
  • Manage the project management framework library of resources to ensure they are up to date and readily accessible for all College staff
  • Provide support to project teams throughout the project lifecycle including developing project documentation, attending project control group meetings and other activities as required
  • Oversee routine and ad-hoc quality control and compliance activities, such as health checks and stage gate reviews, to identify issues or risks and work with staff to resolve them and identify opportunities for the continuous improvement of the College’s project management framework
  • Lead the preparation and delivery of project reporting to the PGG, Finance and Risk Management Committee and College Board
