POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Enterprise Risk & Business Continuity Program Manager at BWXT plays a crucial role in protecting the organization’s $3B enterprise against various risks through the design and enhancement of an integrated Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and Business Continuity program. Reporting to the VP, Safety & Security, this leader develops and executes strategies for crisis management and business continuity that ensure resilience and maintain critical operations in high-stakes environments, all while fostering a risk-aware culture. By aligning ERM and continuity practices with corporate strategies and regulatory requirements, they provide executives and the board with the insights needed for informed, risk-adjusted decision-making.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 10+ years of experience in ERM, internal audit, corporate strategy, business continuity, compliance, or related disciplines
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Strong analytical capabilities for modeling risk scenarios and assessing their financial and operational impacts, enabling informed and actionable insights.
• Proven ability to lead and manage complex cross-functional initiatives within large enterprises, effectively navigating regulatory environments.
• Track record of fostering a proactive risk culture, demonstrated through improved employee engagement, successful training initiatives, and heightened leadership accountability.
• Experience in industrials, manufacturing, government contracting, or nuclear sectors a plus.
• Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) clearance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master’s degree is a plus.

Pay: $85,000 - $134,000
The base salary range for this position in District of Columbia (US-DC) at the start of employment is expected to be between $85,000 and $134,000 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed ‘at-will,’ unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement. The company further reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment, compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, company or individual department/team performance, and other market factors.
