Description:
Optiver is seeking a Project Manager to lead critical enterprise technology initiatives in the APAC region. This role is key to organizing and driving large-scale technology migrations and enhancements, ensuring seamless delivery across technical and operational workstreams. You will work closely with world-class engineering teams and stakeholders to accelerate progress on high-impact projects that support our evolving technology strategy.
WHO WE ARE
Optiver is a global market maker founded in Amsterdam, with offices in London, Chicago, Austin, New York, Sydney, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taipei and Mumbai. Established in 1986, today we are a leading liquidity provider, with close to 2,000 employees in offices around the world, united in our commitment to improve the market through competitive pricing, execution and risk management. By providing liquidity on multiple exchanges across the world in various financial instruments we participate in the safeguarding of healthy and efficient markets. We provide liquidity to financial markets using our own capital, at our own risk, trading a wide range of products: listed derivatives, cash equities, ETFs, bonds and foreign currencies.
Optiver’s Sydney office is one of the primary players within Asian markets, trading a range of products. Established in 1996, we’re an active participant on the Hong Kong, Korea, Singapore, Taiwan and Japan exchanges, and act as Optiver’s APAC head office.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Migration Planning: Develop and execute the APAC virtual migration strategy, addressing both technical and operational requirements to ensure seamless transitions for users and systems.
- Drive Operational Delivery: Oversee technical and operational workstreams, coordinating with engineering teams to maintain momentum, clear blockers, and ensure timely execution of high-value tasks.
- Streamline Communications: Manage user communications and engagement throughout the migration process, delivering clear and consistent updates to stakeholders at all levels.
- Coordinate Cross-Functional Efforts: Work across Optiver’s engineering organization to align technical delivery with operational needs, ensuring all dependencies are recognized and resolved efficiently.
- Accelerate Execution: Identify and optimize migration processes to improve delivery speed and build a scalable, repeatable framework for the broader rollout.
- Support M365 Adoption: Drive initiatives to enhance the use of the Microsoft collaboration suite (e.g., Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive), improving productivity and team workflows.
- Standardize Project Practices: Implement project planning, scope management, and retrospective processes to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with Optiver’s global technology strategy.
