Key Responsibilities · Work closely with relevant technology and business teams to understand their needs, recommend business priorities and advising the business on options, risks, and costs vs benefits for data solution options. Work Closely with Data Architect. · Maintain data modelling framework, standards, principles and roadmap. Covering metadata, master and reference data consistently across multiple execution venues. · Assist with the roadmap to transform data architecture focusing on integrity, scalability, performance and flexibility throughout the entire data life cycle (ingestion, storage and consumption). Initial responsibility will cover evaluating datasets and model modelling in relation to initially Enterprise Tooling implementation. · Responsible for defining pragmatic best practices in data migration, data integration, data extraction and data destruction. · Research and recommend new emerging technologies, techniques and tools that will add value to the organization, including driving Proof of Concepts. As part of the Corporate Architecture function, you will be responsible for data architecture to support data processing, data modelling, data integrations, data mapping and data preparation for reporting. Initial responsibility will cover evaluating datasets and model modelling in relation to initially Enterprise Tooling implementation. · Build and maintain appropriate Enterprise Architecture artefacts including; Entity Relationship Models, Data Dictionary, Taxonomy to aid data traceability. · Work closely with Enterprise and Data Architects to ensure alignment with Group's Data Policies, Standards, Principles, and the Enterprise Data Model. · Defining data flows, i.e., which parts of the organisation generate data, which require data to function, how data flows are managed, and how data changes in transition · Lead in designing, specifying, and selecting data solutions, considering business requirements, functionality, data, security, integration, infrastructure, and performance · Share successful data architecture framework, processes, and best practices across technology. Candidate Profile / Key Skills A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Data Modeller A minimum of 3 years of experience in the Financial Services sector Has excellent understanding of: Data Architecture modelling, standards, principles and data integration patterns Software development, analysis and data modelling, databases, data integration Technologies for database, ETL, Business Intelligence, data governance Minimum 3 years of experience with any of the given tools Collibra, Solidatus, data.world, or any other data catalog tools in the industry. Minimum 5 years’ experience working with cloud technologies AWS, AZURE, GCP Very strong in SQL, PL/SQL or T-SQL. Vast experience in data modelling using tools such as Erwin, Power Designer, SQLDBM or Sparx EA. Minimum 5 years experience in using databases such as Oracel, SQL Server, Snowflake or any other OLATP and OLAP databases. Minimum 5 years experience with reporting tools Power BI, Business Objects, Tableau or OBI. Understanding of Master Data Management technology landscape, processes and design principles. Minimum 3 years of experience with Informatica MDM or any other MDM tools (both customer and product domains). Understanding of established data management and reporting technologies, and have some knowledge of columnar and NoSQL databases, predictive analytics, data visualisation. Understanding of GDPR and The Data Protection Act 2018 Understanding of predictive modelling, NLP and text analysis, Machine Learning Data mining, visualisation, and Machine Learning skills Knowledge of programming languages inc. Python highly desirable. TOGAF or ISEB accreditation (preferred) Experienced in architecture design, data modelling, data migration (on premise to cloud, and vice versa) and data integration methodologies Whole lifecycle experience from project inception, feasibility, design - through to project delivery. Proven track record in operating large Data Governance programs and managing enterprise data assets in a complex organisation Excellent communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences. Self-starter with the ability to appropriately prioritize and plan complex work in a rapidly changing environment Very strong problem-solving skills Pragmatic, tolerant of ambiguity, willing to backtrack and seek multiple solutions Passionate about technology Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where needs evolve rapidly and priorities change.
