Location: Holiday Inn Resort FWB Pay Type: Hourly Pay starting at (based on experience): 15.00 USD As an Entertainer, you are responsible for the organization and delivery of the daytime and evening entertainment programs suited to all hotel guests, providing them with a memorable experience. In this role, you can make a direct impact on your guests by helping them learn new skills while having a lot of fun. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. - Always approach all interactions with guests and employees in a friendly and service-oriented manner by maintaining a positive demeanor. - Promote a positive and caring work environment by addressing and resolving any conflict in a calm and poised manner. - Maintain a clean, safe, and fun environment by following established security procedures and being always aware of surroundings. - Organize, run, and actively take part in the daytime and evening programs and entertainment. - Host a variety of games, movies, and a range of fun & exciting events as well as communicating with your guests daily. - On rainy days, you will need to organize indoor activities including craft projects, exercises, movies, and games. - Deliver a varied and stimulating program to entertain children with games or other activities. - Give customers relevant information about historical and cultural locations and events while conveying this information in an entertaining and informative manner. - Assess and improve the entertainment programs on offer by obtaining guest feedback and making use of available resources. - Project a positive, friendly, and caring attitude always while interacting with all guests. - Check that all toys and other objects are clean and safe. - Stay current on developments within the hotel by reviewing communications to each shift. - Show initiative in job performance by anticipating the needs of guests and team members. - Follow all company’s policies, procedures, and meet standards. - Perform any other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications 1. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. 2. Minimum 1 year of customer service experience required, hospitality industry preferred. 3. Current CPR/AED certification required. 4. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions provided in written, oral, or scheduled form. 5. Ability to read, write, and speak effectively in English in order to communicate with guests and team members. 6. Knowledge of reservation and POS systems. 7. Ability to work with computers and good knowledge of operating software preferred. 8. Must be able to multi-task and be detail-oriented. 9. Must be a team player. 10.
