Job Details Job Location: Give Kids The World - Kissimmee, FL 34746 Position Type: Full Time SUMMARY OF OVERALL PURPOSE Primarily oversees the daily operation of Village Entertainment, including training volunteers, facilitiating the star program, hosting weekly Village events, and supporting the costumed character program. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Venues Train and oversee volunteers on venue operation in an efficient and effective manner. Ensure proper inventory supply levels for Entertainment venues are maintained. Maintain all Entertainment venues so they are show ready. Complete daily tasks assignments utilizing task tracking software. Maintain the integrity of Village shows, programs and events. Collect, register, and track the location of Wish Family stars. Setup, host, and tear down weekly Village events. Support Volunteer Costumed Character Program operations. Collaboration Ensure communication channels between Entertainment team and all Village departments are open and clear. Work with fellow Entertainment storytellers on key projects and operational upkeep. Operations Follow established GKTW and Entertainment policies and procedures Remove litter and debris from around venues and Avenue Maintain safety at all times All other duties as assigned PHYSICAL DEMANDS OUTSIDE NORMAL WORK ENVIRONMENT Regularly required to walk, stand, bend, crouch, balance, use hands and arms to lift/move objects. Able to consistently lift 50 lbs. unaided. Able to work outside for extended periods in varied outdoor conditions. Able to work evenings and weekends, holidays, extended hours both on and off property. Able to climb ladders. Qualifications SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Ability to problem solve. Ability to work independently and within a team environment. Ability to multi-task and be flexible. Must have basic technical know-how and ability to learn audio/visual set up and operation. Must utilize time management to the fullest. Must be able to handle multiple volunteers in any given shift. Must have good communication skills to work with outside entertainment, staff, volunteers and Wish Families. Excellent organization skills. Must be able to read, write and speak English. Computer skills to include- Outlook, Excel, Word, Access. Must be comfortable using a microphone with large groups of people Ability to operate a motorized vehicle, including battery-operated golf cart Valid driver’s license and clean driving record Must meet acceptable attendance and punctuality requirements, which are essential functions for the position. High School Diploma. 1-2 years of entertainment/recreational experience. Preferred Requirements Ability to speak Spanish. Hospitality experience.
