Description REPORTS TO: Entertainment Supervisor DEPT: Entertainment POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for assisting, supervising, and working with the Entertainment Supervisor to train and lead the actors and performers in the Entertainment department, develop seasonal and holiday programs, and assistant direct, produce, and design seasonal shows. Maintain and clean all props & costumes and assist in other duties as needed. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Supervise the entertainment team in wandering, meet and greets, main shows, magic shows, costume contests, dance parties, etc. Act as assistant director, producer and designer to the Entertainment Supervisor for the main shows, magic shows, and dance parties. Facilitate Park show & event announcements and assist in music control throughout the park. Oversee sets and props, including setup and takedown as necessary. Assist the supervisor in care and cleaning of costumes, props, and general Ent Department Inventory. Oversee the technical aspects of performance (such as running sound and lights). Assist Entertainment Supervisor in the development and execution of seasonal and holiday programs. Assist in booking talent and developing performance schedules for all park productions and events. Provide performance schedules and call times to talent and crew. Act as a point of contact for talent and crew on the day of performance. Oversee sets and props, including setup and takedown as necessary. Manage care and cleaning of costumes. Oversee the technical aspects of performance (such as running sound and lights). Perform in shows when regular talent is unavailable Track show attendance numbers and feedback. Other duties as assigned. Requirements JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS Education / Training: Must have excellent written and verbal skills. Cash handing skills are a plus. High school student/ High School diploma or equivalent. Performance Skills in theater, improvisation, public speaking, general A/V awareness. Theatrical skills including directing, producing, and teaching. Artistic skills such as scenic design, painting, drawing, etc. is preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office, including the use of Outlook, Excel and Word. Other Business Knowledge Requirements: Answer incoming calls on multi-line phone system. Self – driven with strong interpersonal skills Strong problem-solving skills. Attention to detail. Enthusiasm for the park and department’s mission of inclusion, representation, and education. Ability to maintain effective working relationships in a diverse community. Ability to communicate effectively. Experience leading teams of (10) or more is preferred. Ability to work with special needs individuals in a learning environment. Other Information: Shifts vary day and evening. Available Wednesday – Sunday. Weekend and holiday availability required. Must be able to work during major Holidays (Halloween, 4th of July, etc.). Must have reliable form of transportation to and from work. Must be able to move large structures and lift (15) pounds or more. Seasonal/ hourly position. Given hours are subject to change.
