KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Undergraduate degree in a related discipline;
  • Expertise in startup and entrepreneurship development from idea to launch, with strong connections in the innovation community;
  • Experience mentoring and advising startups and entrepreneurs;
  • Experience in a professional environment including strategic planning, program development, project management, and facilitation;
  • Promotes and embodies inclusivity and respect within the workplace and the broader community;
  • Extensive knowledge of management with a proven ability to independently design, implement, and execute multiple projects simultaneously;
  • Proficient in designing and marketing programs and events;
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with entrepreneurs and business professionals;
  • Skilled in establishing, forecasting, and managing program budgets and financial performance;
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, databases, web applications, social media, and project management tools;
  • Customer service orientation and a track record of building long-term relationships within the business community;
  • Strong management and advanced communication skills;
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.

PREFERRED OR ASSET SKILLS:

  • Previous experience working with an incubator, accelerator, or innovation-based organization;
  • Post-graduate diploma or a Master’s degree in a related field;
  • Experience managing a start-up or entrepreneurial venture;
  • Understanding of University’s policies and procedures requirements; and
  • Demonstrated experience in a public sector or educational environment.
Responsibilities

Reporting to the Executive Director, Innovation, Commercialization & Entrepreneurship the Entrepreneurships Program Manager is responsible for the strategy, development, implementation, delivery and evaluation of entrepreneurship programs delivered through the Brock LINC. The incumbent seeks new relationships and manages existing ones both internally and externally to develop programming options and associate supports.
