THE ROLE As an entry civil engineer within our Land Development group, you will thrive with the exposure and gain experience through a variety of civil engineering-related opportunities. Under the guidance of a Professional Engineer, the entry engineer will learn the planning, design and construction of site-development projects for clients across a spectrum of work to include residential, commercial, industrial, or mixed-use developments. During the construction phase, the engineer will provide oversight and support the implementation of the plans.. These responsibilities include: * Work with the client and project team to interpret the overall site development plan and translate it into detailed engineering drawings. * Support project tasks including technical report writing and coordination with multidisciplinary team, architects, and clients. * Participate in assessing the suitability of the site for development. * Assist with the design and planning for infrastructure projects such as roads, utilities, drainage systems, and grading. * Learn and understand regulatory requirements and assist with necessary permitting to meet project requirements. * Participate in the development engineering design process from conception to completion. * Learn how to formulate cost estimates and prepare and manage budgets. * Provide construction administration service support during the construction phase of the project. “As employee-owners, we don’t just work here, we grow here. Our culture empowers every team member to find success—professionally and financially—while building something greater than themselves.” - Arian Bloomfield, President/CEO YOUR STRENGTHS * Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction engineering technology, or equivalent ABET-accredited engineering program * 0–3+ years of experience with civil engineering design and construction projects * Engineer-In-Training (EIT) professional designation preferred or willing to obtain soon after hire * Exposure to engineering design software such as AutoCAD or Civil3D * Technical mindset for troubleshooting and resolving complex problems * Strong communication, both verbal and written * Possess a valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record is required for periodic travel Morrison-Maierle is not accepting 3rd party agency solicitation requests.
