This is a great opportunity to learn and connect with AECOM for career opportunities starting Spring/Summer 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about and connect with AECOM for early career opportunities. AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Civil Engineer to be based in our Boston, MA office. This position will support our remediation team within our Environment business line. This position is expected to begin June 2026, but that date is flexible. Job Overview: The Entry-Level Civil Engineer will serve as a team member in the office and the field, assisting project and program management with design and implementation of soil, groundwater, sediment, and surface water investigation and remediation programs, data analysis, and report preparation. Our teams work on complex remediation projects, pulling the right resources from across the company to support project needs. Together, these opportunities will aid in your growth in this industry. The job responsibilities of this position may include but are not limited to: Preparation of calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer Use of computer software (e.g. CAD, GIS, data analysis tools) as a tool for solving basic engineering problems Building analytic and engineering design skills under the supervision of an experienced engineer Development of technical memoranda and reports Environmental sampling (e.g., soil, sediment, groundwater, stormwater, wastewater, air, and hazardous waste) Site visits at industrial, federal, commercial, and municipal client facilities Data collection and analysis for environmental compliance and sustainability Performing work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision Local travel is likely and U.S travel possible and project dependent Field work in locations as appropriate Qualifications MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: BA/BS in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering or related field + 0 years of related experience and/or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education Valid US Driver’s License and as a condition of employment must pass the AECOM Motor Vehicle screening Due to the nature of work, U.S. Citizenship is required Travel is required for this position PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: General knowledge of basic engineering, chemistry, and environmental sciences Experience and/or demonstrated interest in environmental remediation Proficiency in standard office suite software applications EIT Certification or able to obtain within one year of hire date Ability to demonstrate professional demeanor in written and verbal communications with clients, regulatory officials, and fellow employees Ability to write and to convey complex thoughts and ideas in a clear, concise manner Ability to learn through on-the-job experience Tolerance for work in outdoor environments in a range of weather conditions Ability to work independently, both in an office environment and in the field OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER Certification Ability to travel locally, including occasional extended travel Additional Information Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.
