Title: Entry-level Cloud Architect
Location: London – Hybrid - 3 office / 2 remote
Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 + Bonus

About the role
This is an excellent opportunity for an Entry-level Cloud Architect will support the design, implementation, and management of cloud solutions on Azure and AWS. This entry-level position focuses on assisting senior architects and teams in building scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud environments while gaining hands-on experience in cloud technologies, strategies, and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in Cloud Solution Design: Support the development of cloud architectures on Azure and AWS, ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements.
- Collaborate on Cloud Strategies: Work with senior architects to develop cloud strategies, frameworks, and guidelines aligned with organisational goals.
- Support Hybrid and Multi-Cloud Integrations: Help design and implement solutions that integrate on-premises systems with hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
- Contribute to Cloud Migrations: Assist in the assessment, planning, and execution of application and data migrations to Azure or AWS.
- Technical Support for Solution Development: Collaborate with development teams to ensure cloud-based applications, microservices, and APIs are effectively implemented and optimised.
- Security and Compliance: Help ensure solutions meet security standards and regulatory requirements under the guidance of senior architects.
- Monitor and Optimise Costs: Assist in analysing cloud resource usage to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.
- Team Collaboration: Work with stakeholders, senior architects, and third-party vendors to support the delivery of technical solutions
Skills & Experience
Experience:
- 1–2 years of experience in IT, cloud technologies, or a related field (internships or hands-on projects acceptable).
- Exposure to Azure and AWS services or basic knowledge of cloud environments.
- Familiarity with cloud migration projects, CI/CD pipelines, or DevOps practices is a plus.
Technical Skills:
- Basic understanding of Azure and AWS services (e.g., compute, storage, and networking).
- Awareness of cloud-native application architectures, microservices, and APIs.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation (preferred).
- Basic knowledge of security principles like IAM, firewalls, and encryption.
- Experience with automation tools like Docker or Jenkins is a bonus.
Soft Skills:
- Strong eagerness to learn and develop cloud expertise.
- Good problem-solving skills with a collaborative mindset.
- Effective communication skills for working in cross-functional teams and explaining technical ideas to non-technical stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and adaptability to new technologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner or Microsoft Azure Fundamentals.
- Hands-on experience with containerisation technologies like Docker (preferred but not mandatory).
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
