JOB SUMMARY

The Design Release Engineer will be responsible for the design and release of mechanical components on LSVs / Industrial Electric Vehicles in the WAEV portfolio. This includes the market leading GEM vehicles and the iconic Taylor-Dunn vehicle line. This individual will support all aspects of engineering, specifically development of parts, CAD design and drawing creation. This is a very exciting, fast-paced team environment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
  • Hands-on experience in building engineering prototypes
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills
  • CAD Design experience

KNOWLEGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Vehicle development or relevant experiences preferred

Responsibilities
  • Research, develop and prototype new components for LSVs (Low Speed Vehicles) and industrial electric vehicles.
  • Design of mechanical components, including structural frames, exterior and interior parts for existing and new generations of LSVs and Industrial electric vehicles
  • Release mechanical components into the prototyping and production process
  • Develop, manage and maintain BOMs, drawings, and engineering specification
  • Develop and manage all documentations of the requirements, designs and validation report.
  • Support all engineering validation work to include testing of all system used in electrical vehicles
  • Release high quality automotive drawings, components and systems
  • Provide analysis and troubleshooting of the vehicles throughout the development process
  • Provide technical guidance to the engineering teams, technicians and manufacturing workers
  • Follow all company processes
