Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for an Entry-Level Fabrication, Assembly, and Hand Finish Specialist to join the team based out of Helena, Montana.
This position will work closely with manufacturing operations and assembly to produce hard metal airplane part details and assemblies for Boeing Commercial Airplanes.
The ideal candidate will have a background in automotive body repair, use of pneumatic tools, mechanical ability while working in a collaborating and teaming environment with the ability to improve the daily work and quality improvement.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Experience using hand and/or air (pneumatic) tools
  • Ability to work any shift based on the needs of the operation
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
  • Ability to perform physical activities such as climbing, bending, kneeling and lifting

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Minimum 3 months experience in Aerospace, Mechanics, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience
Responsibilities
  • Performs machine set-up, machining, welding set-up, welding, sheet metal fabrication and extrusion, tube bending and fabrication tasks
  • Performs composite lay-up, fabrication and assembly tasks
  • Assembles precision mechanical and electro-mechanical components
  • Assembles, repairs, modifies and installs various power plants and drive trains
  • Perform soldering on electronic and avionics products
  • Assembles and installs wire harnesses and avionics products
  • Prepares test articles, fixtures and data collection devices to perform various tests
  • Performs basic organic chemical conversion and paint preparation
  • Applies routine organic coatings for corrosion protection and appearance requirements
  • Works on articles of moderate complexity using established drawings and requirements
