The Opportunity: Entry Level Field Technologist We are excited to be hiring Field Technologists for our Grande Prairie location. This is a developmental opportunity designed for individuals with strong technical foundations who are motivated to build long-term careers in oilfield operations and cementing services. We are seeking candidates who are committed to Safety, eager to apply their technical education in a hands-on environment and are interested in developing into technical specialists and future field professionals within our organization. This is a Safety-sensitive position. General Responsibilities Demonstrate a Safety-first mindset in all aspects of work Assist with rigging-in, rigging-out, and execution of cementing operations at the wellsite Apply technical knowledge to support equipment operation, monitoring, and troubleshooting; work with hydraulic systems and pressure pumping equipment Maintain equipment cleanliness and complete shop duties as required Support operational efficiency through teamwork, innovation, communication, and problem-solving Actively participate in training and development programs, applying technical knowledge in the field and on the job Qualifications 2-year technical diploma in Petroleum Technology, or other oil & gas-focused technical programs is required Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with clean driver’s abstract, no suspensions or restrictions; potential for Class 1 Mandatory Entry-Level Training (M.E.L.T.) Strong mechanical aptitude and foundational troubleshooting skills Ability to work in extreme weather conditions on a 24-hour on-call schedule Demonstrated commitment to teamwork, Safety, and continuous learning Candidates with prior Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin (WCSB) experience in oil and gas, heavy industrial, or mechanical environments will be given preference Individuals with Canadian Armed Forces or agricultural experience are encouraged to apply Our Commitment to Development At Sanjel Energy Services, we are committed to building the next generation of field professionals.
