Overview We are seeking an Entry-Level Human Resources Specialist as our next new team mate at IST Management! The Human Resources Specialist will perform a variety of daily functions of the Human Resources department including new hire processing, answering incoming employee inquiries, scanning duties, and provide general HR support as needed. Prior accounting or HR experience is a plus but not required. Ideal candidates will possess a high level of professionalism, are detail oriented, and willing to train as necessary. On-Site security and free parking is available for all corporate employees. 1341 Moreland Ave Atlanta, GA 30316 Schedule: While this role will generally fall within regular business hours Monday - Friday 8:30am-5:30pm, flexibility in daily work schedules may be necessary due to departmental workload requirements. *Position will be fully on-site at IST's Corporate HQ during 3 month training period, once trained position will transition to Hybrid role (WFH 2 days/week) Responsibilities The Human Resources Specialist will perform a variety of daily functions of the Human Resources department and general support as needed to include: Provide backup for corporate front desk reception as needed New hire processing, ensure eligibility verification, scheduling employee orientation, process employment documents Handles employment-related inquiries from employees via phone and email, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications The Human Resources Specialist will demonstrate a high level of professionalism and attention to detail. Must be able to learn new programs quickly and train as needed. Additional qualifications include: Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills; integrity Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; professionalism Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times Occasional travel (less than 5% of the time) IST Management provides reasonable accommodations to individuals with a disability in accordance with applicable law in both the application and employment stages.
