Description

One of our clients, located in Farmington Hills MI is seeking a motivated entry-level IT professional with Japanese and English language skills to join the international IT support team. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates who want to grow their career in information technology within a global, multicultural environment.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
  • Fluency in both Japanese and English (spoken and written)
  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware, Windows OS, and Microsoft Office tools
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn new systems
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Cultural understanding of Japanese workplace practices
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (sponsorship not available at this time)

PREFERRED TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Internship or part-time IT support experience
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VPN, DNS)

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support (Level 1 Help Desk) to employees across U.S. in English and Japanese
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and basic network issues (remote and on-site)
  • Set up, maintain, and upgrade workstations, laptops, and peripheral devices
  • Respond to support tickets and escalate more complex issues to senior engineers
  • Assist with system documentation, tracking inventory, and IT asset management
  • Support software rollouts, updates, and basic IT projects
  • Communicate effectively with IT department in Japan and colleagues and vendors when needed
  • Translate IT instructions, manuals, or documents (English ⇄ Japanese) as necessary
  • While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift 10-25 pounds if needed. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision and hearing.
  • Other duties assigned depending on various projects requirements.
