Communications is seeking a motivated Entry-Level Low Voltage Technician / Apprentice to join our team in Harrisburg, PA. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands and wants to build a career in telecommunications, networking, and structured cabling systems. You will work alongside experienced technicians to install voice, data, and fiber optic cabling systems in commercial, industrial, and healthcare environments. No prior telecommunications experience is required. We provide hands-on training and opportunities to earn industry certifications. This is a full-time position with benefits and long-term career potential. Pay · $18 – $23 per hour depending on experience What You’ll Learn Installing Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, and fiber optic cabling Structured cabling systems used in commercial buildings Telecommunications and network infrastructure installation Cable testing and troubleshooting Reading network diagrams and construction drawings Fiber termination and testing Industry safety practices and installation standards Responsibilities Assist technicians with installing structured cabling systems Pull, route, and secure copper and fiber optic cables Label cables and organize equipment racks and network rooms Assist with installing telecommunications and network equipment Maintain clean and organized job sites Follow company safety policies and job site safety standards Communicate professionally with team members and customers Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record Strong work ethic and willingness to learn Ability to work on construction sites and use hand tools Ability to climb ladders and work at heights Ability to lift up to 80 pounds Ability to work in varying weather and job site conditions Preferred Qualifications (Not Required) Construction or electrical experience Experience using hand tools or power tools Interest in technology, networking, or telecommunications Vocational or technical school training Work Schedule Full-time Monday – Friday Overtime available depending on project needs Start Your Career in Telecommunications This is a great opportunity for someone looking to enter the growing telecommunications and technology infrastructure industry.
