OSCO is seeking a motivated Entry-Level Machinist to join our team. The Entry-Level Machinist will be responsible for operating CNC machines and conventional machining equipment to produce and repair tooling and parts for our manufacturing facilities. Requirements Operate CNC lathes and vertical mills to produce tooling and parts according to specifications Set up, operate, and maintain machines commonly found in metal and wood pattern shops Program CNC equipment for various production runs Use precision measuring tools to ensure items meet quality specifications Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting Maintain accurate records of production and quality control measurements Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality Perform other duties as assigned to support manufacturing operations Benefits Education/Experience: Completion certificate from a recognized machining training program OR minimum of 5 years of experience working in a job shop, tool & die shop, or similar equivalent that utilizes CNC manufacturing equipment Technical Skills: Knowledge and capability of programming and operating CNC lathes and vertical mills Equipment Proficiency: Ability to set up, operate, and effectively use machines typically found in metal or wood pattern shops Measurement Skills: Ability to use measuring tools accurately and precisely Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Tools: Must provide personal tools necessary to perform job functions Safety & Housekeeping: Good housekeeping habits and strict adherence to company and government safety rules and laws High school diploma or equivalent preferred Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to work independently and as part of a team Good communication and problem-solving skills Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work in various conditions Safety focus (Personal protective equipment [PPE] required in manufacturing facilities) Driver's License Ready to Work Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed Benefits Incentive Pay on top of Base Wages 401(k) Plan with matching contributions Health, Dental, and Prescription Benefit Coverage Life insurance Paid time off and holidays Opportunity for Overtime Pay Safety shoe allowance Opportunities for advancement and career development About Us OSCO is a leading USA-made iron parts manufacturer dedicated to delivering high-quality products to our customers.
