Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) is seeking an Entry Level Mechanical Design and Analysis Engineer to join our Production Test team in Berkeley, MO. This position will be supporting all major programs in the St. Louis area. The position specifically involves production test for Boeing Defense Systems programs.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering
  • Experience in mechanical design
  • Mechanical troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with computer-aided design (CAD) software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or NX for creating and modifying designs
  • Have or have held an active U.S. Security Clearance in the past 24 months
  • Experience in development programs (integration, test phases), production support, or sustainment engineering

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Required

Responsibilities
  • Designs new test sets for various weapon and aircraft electronics
  • Assists shop with build information
  • Reads mechanical drawings/schematics
  • Troubleshoots mechanical components
  • Production Functional and Environmental Acceptance Testing
  • Supports resolution of product integration issues and production anomalies
  • Researches basic technologies for potential application to company business needs
  • Assists in monitoring suppliers’ performance to ensure compliance with requirements
  • Develops or modifies basic hardware designs based on defined requirements
  • Supports the development, maintenance or modification of system designs/proposals to provide design documentation and high-level requirements to downstream users/customers
  • Performs limited detail design development and modification of mechanical and fluid system installations
  • Assists in preparing technical documents for mechanical components and systems
  • Works under close supervision
