ENTRY-LEVEL MECHANICAL ENGINEER - PROCESS PIPING DESIGN (3D CAD)

  • 2-3 years of process and utility piping design experience, or offering comprehensive training for the right candidate passionate about 3D CAD
  • Associate’s Degree in Mechanical Design
  • Pay is $50,000 to $80,000
  • Must be a United States citizen or Green Card holder
  • No remote as this is an onsite only position

    This full time, permanent Entry-Level Mechanical Engineer opening is at a growing, diverse, custom structural, system and metal component manufacturer. Customers are diverse and include biotechnology, food and pharmaceutical companies. The company promotes from within and does not hold employees back from growing their skillset and careers. Numerous advancement opportunities will exist as the company continues to grow. This smaller company values employees and treats employees well. The company has been in existence for approximately 30 years and employs approximately 100 employees. The company has not experienced a layoff since 2007.

If an employee has the aptitude and drive, they can advance to a project management role. This position is available due to continued company growth due to demand for company products. The duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate are as follows:

  • Develop detailed 3D models and drawings of custom and modular process systems using SolidWorks.
  • Generate comprehensive bills of materials and support documentation like manuals.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers and engineers to ensure design alignment.
  • Interface directly with manufacturing to resolve issues and integrate design improvements.
  • Provide essential mechanical design support to cross-functional departments including Sales, Production, Purchasing, and QC.

The background of the successful candidate must include the following:

  • 2-3 years of process and utility piping design experience, but we will train the right candidate
  • Associate’s Degree in Mechanical Design
  • A proficiency in SolidWorks 3D and Microsoft Excel
  • A proficiency or a willingness to gain proficiency with electrical controls and fluid mechanics
  • A solid work history
  • A US citizen or possess a green card
  • A residence within 45 minutes
