Description
Join a clinical healthcare team collecting high-quality biospecimens. Ideal for a detail-oriented, patient-first phlebotomist eager to grow in their career. What you’ll do Perform venipuncture and collect blood/tissue/other specimens per study and clinical protocols. Accurately identify patients/participants; label, process, aliquot, and prepare specimens for testing, shipment, or storage (per SOPs). Maintain chain of custody and specimen integrity; complete source docs and logs. Stock, clean, and maintain phlebotomy areas, supplies, and equipment. Follow all safety, privacy, and compliance standards (HIPAA) and research GCP/IRB requirements. Communicate clearly with coordinators, investigators, and participants; support basic study coordination tasks as needed. Required High school diploma or equivalent. Active MediClear (or equivalent HIPAA compliance certification). Working knowledge of medical terminology, lab procedures, and biospecimen handling. Strong organization, accuracy, and multitasking; compassionate, professional bedside manner. Preferred Phlebotomy certification (CPT: ASCP/AMT/NHA/NCCT).
