Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Entry-Level Procurement Agent to join our dynamic team in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and the growing E-7 organization.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Experience using all the following Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Experience working in fast paced environment with strict deadlines.
  • Experience working both independently and in team environments.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • Experience in supplier management or supply chain management.
  • Experience working directly with suppliers or supplier management.
  • Experience in negotiating contracts or managing supplier performance.
  • Experience managing suppliers/vendors to deliver products and services.

TYPICAL EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Typically related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists with continuous review and analysis of demand and supply.
  • Knowledge of negotiation and contracting processes.
  • Supports the sourcing strategies, negotiations and documenting of contracts and agreements.
  • Effectively explores alternatives and positions to reach outcomes that gain the support and acceptance of all parties.
  • Gathers data for supplier performance evaluation and improvement opportunities.
  • Develops and uses collaborative relationships within and outside the organization to facilitate the accomplishment of work goals.
