We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Entry-Level Quality Assurance Analyst / Software Tester to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our software products by identifying, documenting, and reporting bugs and defects. You will work closely with developers and product managers to improve software performance and user experience. Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform manual testing of web and mobile applications to identify bugs and defects.
  • Create and execute test cases, test plans, and test scripts based on requirements.
  • Document and report defects using bug-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
  • Verify fixes and perform regression testing to ensure issues are resolved.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure quality standards.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of test documentation.
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum meetings (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives).
  • Provide feedback on usability and user experience improvements.
  • Stay updated with industry best practices in QA and software testing.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Basic understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow test cases meticulously.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL and databases is a plus.
  • Familiarity with bug-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Trello) is a plus.
  • Exposure to automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman) is a bonus but not required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote setting.
