Entry-level employees are trained to perform day-to-day software application testing activities for our clients. They will go through our New Hire and Ongoing Training programs and become overall trained in our Methodologies. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING Follow the direction and guidance of QA Leads and Managers Commit to learning Shasta QA Methodologies and training materials Provide project status reports Log time in company standard time tracker daily Run software application tests Find software application faults Report software application faults in bug tracking systems Verify fixed and resolved application faults Provide specification and technical documentation reviews Create test case matrix for test platforms Perform ad hoc testing for dedicated areas Execute and update software application test cases Desired Soft Skills: A genuine interest in computers and technology. A passion for technical puzzles Great written and verbal communication skills. Loves detail oriented work. Ability to take charge individually, as well as work collaboratively with a team. The position we are looking to fill is in our Iowa City office. Applicants from out of the area will be rejected. Salary Range: $29,120-$31,200 per year, depending on experience All applicants are subject to a background check. Background checks will include, at a minimum, SSN verification, county criminal, federal criminal, sex offender registry, and government watch list. The background check must be completed before employment begins except when employment begins prior to the completion of the background check as a conditional offer. Once the background check is complete hiring authority and human resources will inform the conditional employee of hire based on the outcome of the background check. Shasta QA complies with California, Iowa, Louisiana, and Federal employment compliance laws.
Responsibilities
Entry-level employees will be trained to perform daily software application testing activities for clients, following guidance from QA Leads and Managers. Responsibilities include logging time, running tests, finding and reporting software faults, and verifying fixes.
